Bisgaard has a large range of baby shoes in many colors and designs. From slippers to sandals to boots, bisgaard has everything you need to choose the first pair of shoes for your child.

The first pair

The first pair of shoes should be light and have a flexible sole, so that it follows the little foot's natural movements. The shoes also need a solid heel cap that provides good support. A rubber sole helps ensure that the child has solid footing on all surfaces. Our baby shoes are made from natural materials that are breathable, soft, and comfortable to wear.

Room for growth

For babies and toddlers (0 to 2 years), it is important to buy the first pair of shoes that are not too big, as this can inhibit their motor development. You should therefore leave no more than 1 cm of room for growth.

Keep in mind

It is important to determine whether your child has a slim, normal or wide foot as the width of the shoe needs to be the same. This is one of the reasons why the closures of baby shoes are lace-up or Velcro. It allows you to adjust the size of the shoe to the shape and size of the foot. Usually insoles can also be removed from baby shoes. This allows you to place your child's foot on the sole and determine whether the size is too big or too small.
