Slippers are important everyday footwear
Slippers for children are near-indispensable and serve a number of practical uses in daily life. First and foremost, they help keep your feet warm during the colder seasons. They also help ensure that your child doesn't accidentally slip and fall when playing indoors. That's why it's always a good idea for your child to be wearing a pair of slippers, both at home and at the daycare center/kindergarten.Children wear slippers all day, which is also why it is so important that they are comfortable and allow the feet to breathe. It is essential that the slippers can release moisture and sweat so that your child avoids having to walk around with wet, sweaty shoes all day.

Slippers made from natural materials
bisgaard slippers are made from 100% natural materials in order to ensure the best possible product and the highest possible comfort for your child. In our slippers range, we distinguish between leather slippers and wool slippers made from wool felt.

Leather slippers
Our leather slippers are made from real leather, which results in good support for the heel and ankle so that the slipper stays on the foot. The natural materials make the slippers soft and flexible, ensuring that they constantly support the foot's natural movements. This helps promote your child's motor skills development and motivates him or her to explore their surroundings. The slippers are either elastic or equipped with a Velcro closure, ensuring a good fit. Furthermore, the leather is breathable, ensuring that the slippers remain dry even if worn all day.

Wool slippers
Wool is a temperature-regulating and isolating material that can keep your feet warm during winter in particular, while allowing excess heat to escape from your feet during the summer months. The natural qualities of wool results in a flexible and durable pair of slippers that adapt to the shape of the foot and provide a high degree of comfort. Our wool slippers are available in elastic and Velcro closure versions, which means the fit is highly flexible and adjustable.

Solid footing
Slippers are meant to be used for a whole day of play and movement, which is why non-slip soles are important. We recommend that the soles are made entirely from rubber or with rubber covering the forefoot and heel of soles. This makes them safer to walk around in and ensures that your child's footing remains solid on all types of ground and flooring. Non-slip footwear is particularly important for toddlers who are still not entirely adept on their feet.

Room for growth in slippers
It is important to regularly check whether your child's feet have outgrown their slippers. We recommend a maximum of 1 cm room for growth for all our slippers so that children can wear them for a long time while still being able to walk naturally in them. Natural materials often stretch out a little with use. In order to find the appropriate size for your child's slippers, you need to measure their foot length. The size table shows what the appropriate size is (along with the recommended room for growth) based on the length of your child's foot in cm.
